Son of dreams of heaven and earth, born as a shooting star lighting the fire of the heart. Xico (Xi = Fire, Co = Heart), inspired by the dog Xoloitzcuintle, from Aztec mythology, who led his master’s soul to reach its final destination. Xico has become a symbol of identity for the new generations. It has presence in cities like Veracruz, San Luis Potosi, Havana, Santiago de Chile, Brussels, New York and Shanghai. It is part of the permanent collection of Sculpture Space and has been featured in limited editions with designers such as Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Madrid and New York. In 2010, Xico was selected as official mascot of the Mexico Pavilion at Expo Shanghai. They have published three graphic novels with the character, presented in Brussels, Paris, Mexico City and Shanghai.
